Getting started
Enrollment takes a few minutes. You'll provide your child's name and date of birth, then upload a copy of your government-issued photo ID together with your child's birth certificate so we can verify your identity and confirm these details for your child's profile. We use both documents only to confirm this information at setup, and we delete them once your child's profile is created. You'll also complete a short consent step, and for families adding whole exome sequencing, a separate genetic testing consent.
Natal is built for children aged 12 months through 17 years. Reference ranges are calibrated across three developmental age bands — 1 to 4 years, 5 to 10 years, and 11 to 17 years — so your child's results are interpreted against what is optimal for their stage, not a population average.
No referral and no insurance are required. Natal is a direct membership. Lab orders are authorized by the licensed providers of Everwell Neuro PLLC, the independent physician-owned clinical entity that handles the clinical components of the service.
Yes. Natal is designed to complement your child's pediatric care rather than replace it. Your pediatrician provides the physical exam, immunizations, in-person developmental surveillance, and hands-on treatment that a membership like Natal does not. Natal's providers authorize the lab panel and prepare interpretive summaries, and they do not examine your child or serve as their primary care provider. Keep your child's regular pediatric visits, including annual well-child checks, and share your Natal results with your pediatrician so the two work together.
Yes. Each child has their own membership and their own individually generated panel results and Developmental Blueprint. The first child is $700 per year. Each additional child is $500 per year. You can select the number of children at checkout.

The micronutrient screen measures iron stores, vitamin D, vitamin A, vitamin E, B12, RBC folate, RBC magnesium, zinc, selenium, and omega-3 status. These are biological inputs that help support attention, learning, mood, sleep, growth, and development. Every result is interpreted through Natal's age-banded optimal ranges and explained in a clinical summary written for parents.

Yes. Natal complements your child's pediatric care and is not a replacement for it. Annual well-child visits provide a hands-on physical exam, immunizations, growth tracking and developmental screening, and the in-person clinical judgment of a provider who examines your child, none of which Natal performs, since our providers authorize lab orders rather than see your child in person. What Natal adds is a structured annual panel and interpretive reading content that a typical wellness visit doesn't include, and the clinical summary is written to be shared with your child's pediatrician so the two work together.

It's delivered as reading content for parents: a written portrait you can sit with, rather than a dashboard or a score.
A single written piece, composed for your child and addressed to you as the parent, arriving once a month. It reads as narrative rather than data and is meant to be taken in a single sitting. You simply read it; there are no forms, scores, or trackers to maintain. The aim is to give you an unhurried, considered way of seeing your child at the stage they are in right now.
A milestone checklist measures your child against population averages, and a newsletter is written once for everyone. The Blueprint works differently on both counts: each one is generated individually for your specific child within the founder's framework and written for the particular moment they are in, so it reads as a reflection on your child rather than a benchmark or a broadcast.
It is interpretive reading content, not a clinical or scientific assessment, a diagnosis, or a developmental evaluation, and it does not replace assessment by a clinician who has examined your child. It is meant to sit alongside your child's care as a reflective lens, not to direct medical decisions.
No. The Developmental Blueprint is independent of the lab panel. It's educational and interpretive content created within the founder's proprietary framework, and it is not generated from your child's laboratory or clinical results. The two experiences are separate, and you can value either on its own.
Whole exome sequencing
Whole exome sequencing reads the protein-coding portion of your child's DNA, where the majority of known disease-causing variants are found. It's the most powerful single genetic test available for children with unexplained developmental concerns, and it's a one-time test with permanent results. It requires a separate informed consent, and results are explained in a narrative prepared under the clinical supervision of a neurologist.
No. Whole exome sequencing is the one optional add-on. The standard panel — which includes the full micronutrient screen — is what every member receives. WES is separately consented and separately priced.
Results & the clinical summary
Standard panel results typically return within 3 to 10 business days. You'll receive a secure link to access your results and clinical summary. Whole exome sequencing takes approximately 6 to 8 weeks and is delivered via secure link when ready. Every result set includes a clinical summary you can share with your child's healthcare providers.
It's a plain-language overview included with your child's results that interprets each marker against Natal's age-banded optimal ranges and is reviewed under the clinical supervision of Everwell Neuro PLLC. It's a general interpretive overview written for parents, not a diagnosis or a substitute for evaluation by a clinician who has examined your child.
Every marker is labeled either Optimal or Attention against Natal's age-banded ranges. Attention means a result falls outside Natal's optimal range — it is not a diagnosis and may still fall within a standard lab's normal range. Optimal means it falls within Natal's range, which is not a guarantee of health. All results should be discussed with your child's provider.
Privacy & data
Your child's information is treated as sensitive health data and protected under applicable federal and state law, including HIPAA and, where applicable, state health-privacy and genetic-privacy statutes. We don't sell health data. Full details are in our Privacy Policy and Consumer Health Data Privacy Policy.
If you elect whole exome sequencing, your child's genetic data is used only to provide the testing and interpretation you requested. It is not disclosed to employers or insurers, is not sold, and is not used to train any AI system without your separate express written consent. The separate genetic consent form covers this in full.

Yes. You can cancel anytime through your account or by contacting member support. Cancellation stops future renewals. You'll continue to have access through the end of the period you've already paid for.
